Location: Madison, WI

Shift: Monday - Friday, Days 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (occasional weekend shifts may be required)

Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week, overtime after 40 hours

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading hospital in Madison, WI, to find an experienced and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for their Pediatric department. This fulfilling role focuses on providing comprehensive psychosocial support and resources to children and their families facing medical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans for pediatric patients and their families.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to address emotional, behavioral, and social needs.
• Connect patients and families with community resources and support services.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure holistic care and support for patients.
• Advocate for the psychosocial needs of children and their families within the healthcare system.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings to share insights and coordinate care.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with pediatric patients and families in a healthcare setting
• BLS/BCLS and PALS certifications
• Demonstrated competency in interpreting cardiac rhythms (successful completion of a 20-question test with a score of 80% or higher and 100% accuracy on life-threatening rhythms)
• Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Requirements

All agency travelers are required to pass a cardiac rhythm interpretation exam before orientation begins. This 20-question test includes multiple-choice questions and write-in rhythm identification. A passing score of 80% or higher is required, with 100% accuracy in identifying life-threatening rhythms for the relevant patient population (adult or pediatric).
