Role Summary:

Reporting to the Showroom Manager, the Lighting Sales Consultant is a key member of the Kendall Lighting Center sales team. The person in this role maintains positive relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service. They are responsible for Selling a wide variety of lighting products to customers visiting or calling in, merchandising new accessories, and pricing, maintaining cleanliness and order of the showroom floor.

Exciting work you will do:

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Lighting Sales Consultant position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Greet and assist customers visiting or calling in
  • Sell a wide variety of lighting products to customers visiting or calling in
  • Maintain and grow customer sales and gross profits to meet Company growth objectives
  • Merchandise new accessories and price them as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of the showroom
  • Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • Work Experience: 1 year of customer service experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office; strong computer and typing skills.
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service. Willingness to learn quickly and ability to work independently and as a part of a team to accomplish tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee must be able to stand, lift up to 40lbs frequently and climb stairs.
