Position Responsibilities
Design and plan lighting and electrical systems in collaboration with a variety of professionals, including interior designers, engineers, and architects. Lighting design can be for residential, commercial, health care, recreation, historical, or industrial spaces. 50%
Using AGI32, Visual, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign and Revit/AutoCAD
Design a lighting plan for the site according to customer specifications. 15%
During the design process, liaise between the client and engineering departments, balancing client desires and aesthetics with practical concerns. 15%
Manage lighting design within project budget constraints. 20%
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Lighting Engineering, or a closely related field (or its equivalent). In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to candidates that have extensive experience in the field.
NCQLP Certification or requirement to achieve certification.
Proficiency in Adobe suite, AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, or other 3D lighting calculation software is required.
Technical expertise in design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, details, blueprints, drawings and models is required.
Technical knowledge of various lighting control systems.
