What You Will Do
Identify and assemble necessary components for lighting and control systems.
Troubleshoot various levels of system complexities effectively.
Work collaboratively with project teams to draft and finalize projects within designated timelines.
Coordinate with designers to ensure design consistency between drawings and specifications.
Stay informed on architectural materials and construction methods, maintaining a strong foundation in best practices.
Serve as a resource on materials and product systems selection, providing guidance, research, and recommendations on sustainability and suitability throughout project phases.
Educate and mentor team members on internal and industry standards related to specifications.
Stay updated with specification writing technologies and recommend upgrades to enhance processes.
Prepare detailed specifications independently.
Research and evaluate new materials and methods, recommending actions as needed.
Support project architects or managers by compiling specifications and coordinating with consultants and staff.
Review contractor quotations for change orders and approve material qualifications.
What You Will Bring
1-3 years of experience in lighting specification.
Strong capability to read and interpret drawings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in desktop and mobile computing.
Familiarity with Lutron Controls and other lighting design software.
A proactive approach and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
