WNCT 9 On Your Side and Eastern North Carolina’s CW in Greenville, NC is searching for a Lifestyle Videographer/Editor to join its team and work directly with our lifestyle show. The Videographer/Editor will produce compelling visual news video and live shots by utilizing their artistic, technical expertise and composition skills.
Capture video and edit stories for daily newscasts
Collaborate with producers on video elements of newscasts
Shoot and edit news video stories, including daily news and lifestyle show segment
Maintain and operate camera equipment as well as company vehicle safely and efficiently
Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirements
Sets up, composes and executes video shots
Edits video clips for television broadcasts and eMedia content
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor`s degree or equivalent in broadcasting, journalism, or related field preferred
Minimum two years’ experience operating video recording equipment (More for larger markets and less for smaller markets)
Ability to edit raw video to newscast form in a manner to complete the story for the viewer
Video photography experience preferred Must be detail-oriented
Maintains positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments
Responds positively to feedback
Present professional image as a representation of the station at all times
