Summary
The Agent Producer reports directly to the Executive Accounts Manager and is responsible for achieving agreed upon objectives. The Agent Producer is responsible for assisting the agency in their new business sales efforts and sales goals of the agency. The primary responsibility of the Agent Producer will be uncovering new business opportunities, cross-sell opportunities, customer service, policy retention, and profit goals. Agent Producer may also be called upon to provide support and resources in the areas of property, casualty and life product for all agency clients.
Core job duties include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for calling and prospecting new business from a variety of agency supplied and self-generated sources.
- Solicits and writes new business for Personal Lines, Commercial and Life Insurance.
- Utilizes available training opportunities in order to overcome objections, and build a sense of urgency around the new business generation.
- Meets production requirements and goals assigned by the agency owner.
- Determine client requirements and expectations to help identify products and solutions. Recommend, educate and offer these solutions in order to sell new business policies.
- Cross-sell/up-sell products to existing clients.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external clients about basic underwriting guidelines, policies, and marketing initiatives to service client accounts.
- Maximize positive client experiences by responding to client inquiries regarding the company's products or services in order to analyze, clarify, and resolve policy and account-related questions.
- Record client interactions and transactions, detailing client inquiries, requests, concerns, comments, and any actions taken.
- Review renewal business and identify appropriate follow-up actions based on changes/needs. Assist with the annual review process by contacting clients and preparing personalized customer coverage recommendations based on clients’ needs.
- Implement/adhere to company and agency guidelines and system processes.
- Ensure policies sold and managed in the agency meet the underwriting principles of the Underwriting Quality Index (UQI).
- Responsible for contributing to the attainment of various company objectives at the agency level.
- General customer service duties as they arise or are presented and perform other duties as assigned.
