Job Summary: Volunteers will contribute their time and talent to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Curatorial & Collections division, both at our Museum and our Library location. Major responsibilities include inventory, data entry, filing, condition reporting, rehousing materials, and stacks maintenance. Duties will include digitization, arrangement and description of archival collections, creation and editing of research guides, metadata creation for digital assets. Responsibilities will vary as the day-to-day operations evolve and special projects arise.

Duties/ Responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, file, inventory, and describe collections
- Assist with the rehousing of incoming and unprocessed collections.
- Cataloguing & indexing – writing physical descriptions, condition reporting, housing & storing objects
- Regularly communicate with supervisor on the status of tasks and projects.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collegially and independently.
- Ability to properly handle and care for artifacts and objects.
- Proficiency in computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Excel and databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
- Historical knowledge of Rock & Roll and related genres required.
- Library, archives, and curatorial knowledge and/or experience a plus.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at time.
- Ability to focus and do detailed work for extended periods of time.
