The Phoenix Public Library is currently looking for a Library Circulation Attendant III to oversee and train circulation and clerical staff, as well as coordinate the activities of the circulation desk and/or sort functions.
Responsibilities Include
Supervising Circulation Attendants and providing annual performance reviews for circulation staff.
Creating schedules and delegating daily circulation tasks.
Training staff on circulation tasks especially how to do procedures on the Polaris integrated library catalog.
Revamping and optimizing processes for daily circulation tasks to enhance efficiency.
Assisting customers in resolving any inquiries or issues regarding charges on their library accounts through effective problem-solving.
Reporting building problems and/or maintenance needs.
Demonstrating team leadership and being a reliable staff member to consult as the person in charge when the Branch Manager is unavailable. .
This position is located at: Century Library, 1750 East Highland Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, 85016.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Ideal Candidate
Has the ability to provide seamless customer service to internal and external customers and train employees on library practices.
Is bilingual.
Knowledge of standard cash handling procedures and practices.
Must be able to multitask, resolve problems, and work with a diverse customer base in a fast-paced environment.
SALARY
Pay Range: $19.54 to $40.61 per hour.
Hiring Range: $19.54 to $26.18 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of library clerical experience.
One year of experience at a circulation desk with limited supervisory responsibilities (one year at the level of Library Circulation Attendant II).
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
