Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED.
Strong communication skills.
Prior library experience preferred.
Reports To: Middle School Principal
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Agreement between the FMRSD and the Fall Mountain Regional Educational Support Personnel Association.
Job Goals
To assist in providing a positive library environment/experience for all students and staff.
Performance Responsibilities
Perform circulation tasks such as charging, discharging, reserving, booking, scheduling and delivery of materials.
Shelve, file and duplicate materials.
Prepare, process and receive materials (books, periodicals, AV, supplies, etc.).
Prepare over-due notices.
File catalog cards and/or help maintain online catalogue.
Mend and maintain library materials.
Know how to operate audio-visual equipment and perform minor repairs.
Know how to operate library computers and related equipment.
Respond to the needs and interests of students under the supervision of the library professional.
Maintain an attractive center.
Promote the love of literacy.
Promote reading incentives.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the High School Library Media Professional.
