We are currently seeking an experienced LEISURE TRAVEL ADVISOR to join our team at CIRE Travel. This is a full-time, remote* position. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the leisure travel industry. The right candidate must be a well-organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can independently, with minimal to no supervision and assistance, service the travel and other concierge needs of CIRE clients efficiently, accurately, and with a personal touch, while always maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude. Intermediate knowledge of Sabre GDS, at a minimum. This position reports directly to CIRE’s President/owner.


* Candidates must be willing to travel to New York City or another CIRE office for training and events, no more than six times per year.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-touch, concierge-level travel services to our vacation and honeymoon clients.
  • Manage high volume, fast-paced work with poise and calm; follow-up on last minute details, requests, changes and more changes.
  • Offer expert and curated advice to our clients on their leisure travel bookings including hotel, airline, rail, rental cars, transfers/car service, tours, experiences, restaurant recommendations and more.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors and partners (hotels, airlines, tour operators, etc.) in order to better serve our clients with the best rates, availability, and additional benefits and perks.
  • Stay up to date on industry products and trends through trade publications and meeting with vendor representatives.
  • Consistently increases sales by fostering relationships with current clients resulting in new referrals and networking with third parties to develop new areas of business.


Required skills/experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the travel industry.
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Sabre GDS as well as all current travel technology tools, including AXUS. Knowledge of Asana or other project management tool a plus.
  • Experienced advisor with the ability to operate under minimal/limited supervision.
  • Dependable, reliable, minimal mistakes, and accountable at all times; trustworthy, honest and maintains strong personal integrity.
  • Ability to work well under stress and with tight deadlines; excellent time management skills; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and co-workers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to travel for FAM/educational trips around the world.
  • Must participate in agency marketing efforts, i.e. profile and photo on website, Virtuoso, and any/all social media, newsletter or other marketing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Team player and straight-forward communicator with a get-it-done attitude. Our motto is “It’s Handled!”
