Are you an experienced Legal/Judicial transcriptionist seeking flexible work opportunities? VIQ Solutions, a pioneer in providing transcription services across industries, is looking for skilled Independent Contractors to transcribe depositions and hearings remotely.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings with meticulous attention to detail
  • Produce accurate verbatim transcripts while adhering to style guides and legal terminology
  • Set your own schedule and receive support from our dedicated team when needed
  • Weekend availability is a plus due to 24/7/365 work availability

Requirements

  • Experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar
  • Proficient in remote collaboration and typing speed/accuracy
  • Comfortable transcribing challenging audio/text content
  • Must pass a background check and be familiar with legal terminology
  • Court reporting students are welcome to apply (excluding Massachusetts and California residents)

Equipment Requirements

  • High-speed internet, computer/laptop, and noise-canceling headphones
  • Windows 10 operating system
  • Antivirus software with daily updates (excluding Webroot)
  • Infinity Foot Pedal (recommended)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
