As we expand our team, we are currently seeking experienced Legal/Judicial transcriptionists to work as Independent Contractors in a fully remote capacity.
Responsibilities
As a transcriptionist, you will be responsible for transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with meticulous attention to detail. This entails accurately capturing spoken content, applying legal terminology knowledge, and upholding impeccable grammar. Your tasks will revolve around processing audio recordings to create verbatim transcripts following specific style guides.

Skills And Qualifications
Prior experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
Exceptional listening skills
Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to client-specific style guides
Strong literacy skills in comprehension, spelling, and grammar
Proficiency in remote collaboration
Fast and accurate typing skills
Capability to handle challenging audio/text content, which may be offensive
Successful completion of a background check
Familiarity with legal terminology
Consideration given to court reporting students
Requirements
To utilize our state-of-the-art transcription technology effectively, candidates must meet the following equipment requirements:
High-speed internet connection
Computer or laptop
Noise-canceling quality headphones
Windows 10 operating system
Antivirus program with daily virus definition updates (excluding Webroot antivirus)
Infinity Foot Pedal (recommended)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word
