Amazing opportunity to work for a boutique real estate law firm as a Legal Secretary/ Executive Assistant in our Century City office. Our firm is composed of 9 Partners and 5 Associates. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide support to our transactional and litigation attorneys as well as provide Executive Assistant support to the Managing Partner. Candidate must be have prior legal assistant experience, be extremely organized, and have the ability to work independently.
Please note that this position is fully in-person.
EA duties include (but are not limited to):
Manage professional and personal scheduling for Managing Partner, which will include calendar management, organizing and handling mail, making travel and meeting arrangements, and running errands.
Scheduling and planning Firm events and meetings.
Creating Firm marketing materials.
Providing legal assistant support to transactional and litigation attorneys, which will include (but not be limited to):
Sending letters
Running redlines
Editing documents
Preparing closing documents
Electronic document management
Running conflict checks
Opening client matters
Preparing engagement letters
Interacting with Firm clients
Skills & qualifications:
Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all Firm and client information.
2+ years’ experience as a legal assistant (litigation experience is a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Problem-solving and decision making.
Self-starter.
Team player with a positive attitude.
