Job Summary

The Legal & Regulatory Analyst is primarily responsible for implementing, maintaining and updating CaseWorthy compliance solutions and client success. This position has responsibilities for CaseWorthy’s corporate legal and regulatory compliance. This position assists with CaseWorthy internal team trainings and compliance initiatives, as well as being both an internal and client-facing Subject Matter Expert relating to compliance and legal matters.

This position also works cross functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders relating to contract review and negotiation for initial client deals and renewals. Duties also involve reviews of vendor contractual documentation, compliance risk assessments, and managing/updating relevant policies, plans, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Interface internally and externally with stakeholders to negotiate and approve contracts and other required client documentation.
  • Assist in training CaseWorthy internal organizations in compliance related matters.
  • Assist in maintaining business compliance with applicable local, state, federal and internal rules and regulations, including corporate registrations and filings.
  • Assist with contract storage and organization.
  • Assists with performing internal and external risk assessments, HIPAA privacy and security reviews as well as SOC2 and HITRUST audit activities.
  • Helps to identify and protect CaseWorthy intellectual property through trademark reviews, as well as contractually with clients and vendors.
  • Assist to develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance organization and its related activities.
  • Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of both internal and client-facing compliance efforts.
  • Update and maintain an effective compliance communication program for the internal organization.
  • Review and interpretation of legal contracts (B2B service agreements, NDAs, Business Associate Agreements, etc.) including regular updates that adapt to evolving business needs or industry standards.
  • Make recommendations to other internal organizations to improve overall compliance of CaseWorthy platforms and solutions with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with other assigned projects that fall within the scope of the Compliance organization.
  • Ability to travel nationwide, up to 10% annually.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: strong writing and proofreading skills; ability to effectively summarize complex, technical or specialized material for audiences both familiar and new to the subject matter.
  • Ability to quickly collect and process large amounts of information and make informed and intelligent decisions.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and manage projects with many moving parts.
  • Tech savvy with today’s latest software tools; willing to research and learn new tools as needed.
  • Passion for helping to improve the quality of people’s lives and cost efficacy in service delivery for at-risk populations.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a healthcare or software development organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree / JD Preferred
