The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a temporary Legal Intern for our Local Media division. This person will check political advertising and FCC filings. This is a hybrid position based in the DC area. Remote applicants will be considered.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work with VP/Deputy General Counsel and VP/Distribution to audit, update and interpret FCC broadcast rules and regulations as it pertains to managing broadcast stations public files for federal candidates, local candidates and issues of national importance.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- JD degree (or 2nd or 3rd year law student working towards law degree)
- Start date ASAP and end date 11/22/24.
- Detail oriented.
- Proven flexibility, initiative and self-reliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- This position will be around 30 – 40 hours a week.
- Remote work will be considered.
- This is an hourly position.
