The Role

We are searching for a highly-motivated, proactive, business-minded lawyer to support product development and technology alliances and provide day-to-day legal support to the corresponding business units. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company and within the legal department.

• Negotiate procurement agreements, oversee strategic procurement legal initiatives and serve as key legal advisor to the procurement team.
• Negotiate, structure and draft enterprise technology distribution agreements, reseller and OEM agreements, software-as-a -service, end user license, service and complex commercial agreements.
• Provide strategic legal and business guidance for product development by advising on a wide range of intellectual property issues relating to new and evolving services, enterprise products, machine learning and generative artificial intelligence.
• Initiate and drive legal process improvements to support business objectives and advise on new product offerings in areas such as open source software licensing and intellectual property rights.
• This position will have regular interactions with executives and opportunities to collaborate within, and beyond, the global Legal & Compliance team.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years of technology transaction experience (law firm or in-house experience).
• JD with membership in at least one state bar.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. An individual who can work with a range of internal and external business and legal professionals, manage multiple priorities and major transactions with deadlines, and lead cross-functional negotiation teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and high integrity.
• Experience with enterprise software and software-as-a-service contracts.
• Knowledge of open source software licenses is preferred.
• A business-oriented, practical, and balanced approach is required.
