LEGAL CONFLICTS MANAGER
A law firm client is hiring a Conflicts Manager to oversee conflict searching, identification, resolution, and business intake to ensure compliance with internal policies and ethics rules. They work closely with attorneys and legal assistants, manage staff, and handle new business processes. The role involves using and training others on third-party and firm-developed technologies related to conflicts and new business intake.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team that handles conflicts, engagement letters, and new business inquiries.
Establish best practices for conflict searching, report generation, and intake processing.
Monitor and analyze workflow to improve efficiency and address backlogs.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of new business requests.
Develop business requirements for related software and oversee business-side testing and upgrades.
Train firm assistants on new business intake software.
Collaborate with IT to maintain software, retention policies, and other related issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
5+ years of experience handling conflicts and/or new business intake processes in a law firm
A bachelor's degree
Knowlege of InTapp and/or Aderant
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent decision-making, judgment, and strategic planning abilities.
Proficient in written and oral communication.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to document detailed information.
Fundamental project management skills.
