Responsibilities

  • Draft and review various legal documents including letters, court correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery-related documents.
  • Efficiently organize and manage case exhibits and documentation through all case stages, up to and including trial.
  • Coordinate scheduling for depositions, meetings, and court appearances.
  • Maintain direct and regular communication with clients to collect essential information and provide updates on case progress.
  • Regularly collect, review, and update medical records pertinent to each case.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for backgrounds in medical malpractice or personal injury law.
  • An eagerness to learn or existing knowledge in medical and dental topics as they relate to legal cases.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with a knack for client interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with other litigation software.
  • Strong legal research capabilities, with a preference for experience using LexisNexis or Westlaw.
  • A client-centered approach, focusing on providing exceptional service.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Flexibility to manage and adapt to changing priorities and case demands.
