Primary Purpose of the Position:

The Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University is seeking to hire a full-time lecturer for a 9-month in Information Systems and Business Analytics beginning August 2024. The selected candidate will exhibit a desire to teach at the undergraduate level and help develop and expand existing programs, concentrations, and minors. The candidate will become a member of the Information Systems and Business Analytics faculty that serves undergraduate majors and engages in teaching, community, and professional service.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, or a related field from an AACSB accredited school.

AACSB -accredited MBA degree and executive experience with major corporations will also be considered.

Training or work experience in two or more of the following areas—programming, database management, systems analysis and design, data visualization or reporting, ERP , machine learning, or cloud computing—would be strongly desired.

A minimum of one year of University-level teaching experience and/or industry-related experience

Record of relevant non-academic work experience or project-based learning initiatives with corporations or government entities preferred.

Willingness and ability to collaborate well with colleagues and consistently demonstrate high levels of collegiality.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in data or business analytics related field preferred from an AACSB accredited university; programming language (Python or R) cloud computing certificates (Amazon or MS Azure), and Power BI Certificates are. Appropriate academic credentials and experience.
