LearningMate- Math Copy Editor required

URGENT NEED FOR MATH COPY EDITORS/ CONTENT EDITORS

Description:

LearningMate helps K-12 organizations create digital content that is personalized, accessible, and engaging. We seek a highly qualified content editor to work with our team over the next 12-14 months. We are conducting a comprehensive curriculum review of a new K-12 academic program for a US-based charter school. The curriculum comprises courses in all subject areas, including assessments and associated materials.

Responsibilities:

As a content editor for 5th-12th-grade math courses, you will apply your subject matter expertise to perform a comprehensive review of instructional content, assessments, and associated materials. You will ensure that content meets expectations for quality, accuracy, and adherence to editorial and writing style guidelines.

You will work with an editorial team including the Project

Manager, Curriculum Director, content editors, copy editors, quality assurance specialists, and learning design strategists to ensure deliverables are submitted on time and meet expectations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, K-12 Education.

10 or more years of experience developing standard aligned math instructional content and assessments in a 5th-12th grade academic and/or publishing environment

Keen eye for correct grammar, spelling, and style inconsistencies ● Experience working with client style guides and Chicago Manual of Style ● Prior copyediting and proofreading experience ● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs/Sheets ● Ability to multitask effectively and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment ● Ability to use online meeting software, such as Zoom and Google Meet ● Above-average performance on the LearningMate copyediting test ● Knowledge of editorial processes and workflows
