General Description of duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive new hire sales training program aligned with the company's business objectives, focusing on best in class selling techniques and skills development.
  • Training Development: Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of all training programs, including product knowledge, sales, leadership development and more.
  • Develop, and manage a team of L&D specialists, and others who conduct training in our company to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify skill gaps, performance issues, and future training requirements across various departments and job roles.
  • Curriculum Design: Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and maintain up-to-date training curricula, leveraging various instructional methods and delivery channels (e.g., classroom, e-learning, blended learning).
  • Measurement and Evaluation: Establish and implement robust evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of training programs, calculate return on investment (ROI), and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Vendors, Customer Experience, HR, operations, and department heads, to align training initiatives with business needs and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Learning Management: Manage the organization's learning management system (LMS) and other training-related technologies, ensuring seamless delivery and tracking of training programs.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the training and development field, ensuring the company remains competitive and innovative.


Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding and experience with relationship selling techniques and customer service best practices
  • Experience designing and implementing leadership development programs
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing training curriculum that transform results
  • Proficiency in instructional design and e-learning development
  • Familiarity with furniture industry trends and product knowledge
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and hands on training ability for a wide range of audiences
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong organization skills


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a managerial capacity;
  • Experience in adult education or a similar environment;
  • Experience in retail sales environments, preferably furniture or home goods environments
  • Required to have a university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise learning management systems (LMS) and training software
