Learning and Development Manager

Our new Learning and Development Manager will excel at growing our team's potential. Our Learning and Development Manager is performance-driven and responsible for partnering with corporate and local leadership to identify training and development initiatives for our organization that align with our business strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a growing team to effectively communicate new learning modules and transfer knowledge.
  • Collaborates with various departments including sales, lifecycle, safety, and HR, to enhance the communication and organization of knowledge including but not limited to SOPs and onboarding curriculum.
  • Leads the development and deployment of all learning programs; collaborates with subject matter experts to develop and deliver technical training.
  • Creates training programs to align with organizational strategies. Review existing training programs, and suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention.
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective. Coordinates with and utilizes internal subject matter expertise (in addition to vendors and third parties) to execute training initiatives as required.
  • Responsible for the company’s LMS tools and ensures that employees are current with any self-paced training requirements such as code of business conduct, policy compliance, and other required courses.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all courses on an ongoing basis to ensure the objectives and goals of leadership are being met.
  • Develops recommendations that prioritize training and development needs accordingly.
  • Prepares and recommends a training budget. Ensures that training milestones and goals are achieved while staying within the approved training budget.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Education, a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable training and development specialist or manager role.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, PPT, and Word.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities daily.
  • Must be team-oriented and a strong collaborator.
  • Must have experience effectively delivering training experiences with measurable outcomes.
  • A high degree of knowledge around best practices for training including adult learning theories.
  • Highly personable, presentable, and comfortable representing the company internally and externally.

  • Approximately 25% travel.
