Are you passionate about helping others succeed academically? Join our team as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader! This position works closely with the Director of Online Tutoring Services to provide comprehensive and integrated academic support to students. As an SI Leader, you will play a crucial role in student retention by offering supplemental instruction to students enrolled in online courses. Our Academic Success Center aims to support the academic achievements of both residential and online students by providing free supplemental instruction for various courses each semester.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Foster interactive student discussions on challenging course content.
Ensure activities engage students in the course content, moving beyond traditional lectures.
Help students maximize their academic potential.
Participate in scheduled meetings as required by the Director of Tutoring Services.
Qualifications, Credentials, And Competencies
Current undergraduate or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.
Enthusiasm for supporting and helping students improve their understanding of course content and study habits.
A letter of recommendation from the course instructor is preferred.
A grade of "A" or "B" in the relevant course(s) is required.
Previous Tutoring Experience Is Preferred.

Help students maximize their academic potential.
- Participate in Training and Meetings (5%)
Participate in scheduled meetings as required by the Director of Tutoring Services.
- Perform Administrative Duties (5%)

Current undergraduate or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
