About The Job:
As our lead video producer, you will project manage & execute all elements of Grande’s video pre-production, production, & post-production process, including storyboarding, planning, scheduling, and editing. You will utilize our in-house studio & your extensive knowledge of video equipment, lighting, & editing programs to bring brand narratives & product stories to life in ways that are contextually optimized = all while keeping a consistent brand look & feel across all video touchpoints.
We are looking for a creative, self-starter who understands how to simplify complex, multi-point messaging into simple, effective storyboards while mastering technical execution. This multi-tasking position reports to the Associate Creative Director & will work across projects and teams while managing multiple projects & timelines.
This role is REQUIRED to be in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week, with the remaining 2 days working from home. The office is in Valhalla, New York.
Responsibilities:
Execute all elements of Grande’s video pre-production, production, & post-production process for a variety of videos across paid media, web, & organic social.
Project manage video task request queues & take ownership of deadlines for key projects while providing timely and accurate ballparks for video project milestones.
Partner cross-functionally to understand the video needs and requirements of each department. Serve as the primary point of contact for all things video while clarifying requirements and resolving ambiguities.
Meet regularly with the organic social, paid partnerships, and brand ambassador teams to understand available UGC video content, usage rights, & repurposing opportunities.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership teams, and clearly communicate project status regularly.
Collaborate with Associate Creative Director & Copywriter to ideate, script & storyboard a variety of videos needed across paid and organic media, including campaign, product, & UGC videos.
Utilize in-house studio space to organize video shoots and develop production schedules. Collaborate with the creative team to ideate, develop mood boards, scout locations, create shot lists, pull wardrobe and coordinate styling props to bring the brand vision to life.
Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director to spearhead video video/ photo shoot logistics: including studio scheduling, equipment purchases or rentals, minor set builds, talent casting, shot lists, call sheets, & hair/makeup crew hires – ensuring shoot execution is on budget and on time.
Set up and operate all cameras, lighting, and audio on each video shoot, capturing model and product footage using industry best practices.
Lead video post-production by editing raw footage into cohesive narratives: from initial footage string-outs, to rough cuts, to final delivery.
Lead color grading, music sourcing, sound mixing, visual effects, graphic/typographic overlays, voiceover recordings, close captioning, and subtitling of foreign video assets.
Utilize best-in-class video file organization practices while partnering with the digital asset management team to oversee video accessibility & distribution.
Partner with the paid media team to develop, experiment, and test video creative & messaging iterations, customizing video content for different audiences and stages of the funnel. Use insight and analytics to optimize video engagement and conversions
Regularly assess video production workflows & processes and identify inefficiencies or optimizations
Generate new, innovative ideas by staying informed on beauty industry and social media trends as well as the competitive space
Vet & hire all production partners while overseeing all video operations outsourced to freelancers or external media companies.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5-8 years of experience working in video production.
Creative self-starter; ability to navigate a fast-paced environment & self-prioritize work
Flexibility to switch focus between multiple projects
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
Multitasking, proofreading, time management, and organization skills
Data-driven/performance-minded
Strong collaboration & interpersonal skills
Attention for detail and beauty experience a must
