Lead Systems Administrator

twenty2 wallpaper + textiles is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator to maintain the health of our IT systems and hardware. This is an on-site full-time position, and not eligible for remote working. This role will manage our computer network including installing, updating, maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting various operating systems on various platforms; coordinating work with outside IT vendor(s) for on-going consultation, support, and customization. They will maintain the integrity and confidentiality of our network structures; provide systems administration services, and modify procedures to streamline processes and solve problems. Responsibilities: Administer and maintain company IT systems and services, including: Company-wide ERP (Monday.com) and API connected systems Company websites (domains and development) Hardware and software installations, licenses, updates, patches and repairs Device and system configurations to meet company standards Device power safety: Ensure factory equipment is connected to appropriate UPS' (uninterrupted power supplies) and maintain UPS health Comprehensive data backups both onsite and offsite Company device inventory and MDM Network management of attached file server, local, internet, phone, security Google and other cloud-based platforms Proactively develop and/or source infrastructure upgrades Conduct regular needs assessments for specific departments and company wide Understand interdepartmental workflows to resolve system based pain points Suggest and oversee system and hardware upgrades Source, trial, and implement new systems and hardware Develop or coordinate the development of new custom systems Create IT goal implementation strategies and oversee their execution Oversee and manage one-time and on-going projects with developers or contractors Provide helpdesk support for employees on such issues as: Connectivity, account access, diagnostics, device performance Provide continuous IT training for employees to ensure company standards are being maintained, such as: Computer literacy, specifically Google Suite Digital organization File sharing security Browser management Developing implement company customizations or third party integrations Train employees in expert use specific to their role Manage junior IT staff Train and supervise junior staff Delegate appropriate tasks Provide check-ins and manage annual review process Onboarding and offboarding tasks, including: Account creation for all company platforms Primary accounts introduction and setup with new hires Secure all company accounts upon employee termination Oversee cybersecurity management, including: Develop and maintain security policies for all relevant systems and platforms Install and maintain antivirus software on all company devices and non-company devices temporarily being used for company work Respond to any antivirus or employee alerts Manage any phishing or smishing attempts Create and deploy ongoing security awareness trainings and spot train employees as needed Create and deploy security knowledge assessments for employees Maintain excellent security for all high level access, including: Admin accounts All devices with login credentials saved in a password manager All devices that receive or generate a 2FA code for IT accounts All company or personal devices with company apps or programs installed Confidential information such as company finances or security camera footage that may be accessed in the course of IT responsibilities Full job description is available upon request. Requirements: 5+ years of Professional System Administration experience Experience in a mid-size manufacturing environment preferred Experience with Synology, NAS systems and management a plus Proficient in macOS/Apple (Servers and Workstations) Google Workspace Administration including Google Workspace Sync preferred Strong prioritization and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high degree of flexibility. Ability to communicate and present clear, concise objectives to all levels of the organization while identifying and sharing risks and opportunities.
