Lead Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking candidates who have a great attitude and drive to perform. MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL OUT OF STATE.

Ability to work with their hands, has a strong customer service focus, and enjoys traveling (both locally and nationally).

You will be an employee of the Company; not an independent contractor. This role would begin in the warehouse and long term would grow into working in the field.

You will be trained to repair and perform maintenance for big box retailers and grocers throughout the country. Learn how to diagnose equipment problems to determine how best to repair or replace. The Field Service Technician interfaces with store level management, working independently or in two person teams, a lead driver and a helper.

Shift: Any - must be willing to go on the road! Drivers license is required.

Compensation: $22 Overtime varies (50-70hrs as needed)

The Function:

You will be trained to provide outstanding service to our customers by repairing shopping carts and rolling equipment such as pallet jacks, ladders, and material handling carts

Pressure washing of sidewalks, carts and rolling equipment as required

Travel to customer sites close to home and also within North America with overnight stays when needed.

The job is done outdoors and requires the minimum physical requirements listed below.

All cleaning is done with a pressure washing system.

We Provide:

Major equipment to perform the job, including a company vehicle and/or service trailer

Paid training

An established client base -- no sales/solicitation required

Helpful Experience Welding experience is helpful (we will train if needed)

Working with mechanical systems (i.e., troubleshooting and repairing appliances, performing basic household repairs, remodeling & home improvement projects, operating hand tools and power tools)

Serving customers (i.e., ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, professional but friendly demeanor)

Tradesmen (plumbers, electricians, construction, carpentry, cable techs, auto mechanics)

Truck drivers (accustomed to high travel volume)

Field Service Experience Is Preferred But Not Essential

Repairs include:

Straightening frames Inspecting and replacing wheels and other parts

Welding (on the job training provided)

Qualifications and Skills:

A clean driving record

Willing to submit to background check and drug screen

Ability to perform the minimum physical requirements: moving and turning carts weighing from 25 to 50 lbs, lifting tools and parts as needed, and bending to perform work.

Demonstrated ability to work well with others.

Basic mechanical skills.
