Position Description

Provide technical, tactical, and strategic logistics team leadership to ensure that KCNA business objectives are met for Finished Goods inventory management, with specific focus on Traceability, non-conformance management and compliance to Quality Agreements. The Lead Quality Analyst must work with Distribution Operations and third-party Distribution staff to ensure that quality performance and regulatory compliance is achieved. The role must also engage and influence Mill Quality and Operations groups in support of the Quality Management System Requirements as it relates to Distribution at the Staff level. The Lead Quality Analyst will

develop and drive standards creation, implementation, auditing, and process improvements in finished goods inventory management, batch-management, and quality-issue management. The Lead Quality Analyst has key leadership responsibility within the KCNA Quality teams, providing support for Family Care, Adult/Feminine Care, and Baby/Child Care.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders and peers within the business units and across the Enterprise.
  • Partner with internal support functions (i.e., supplier quality, procurement, distribution etc.) to achieve functional excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Provide Distribution Leadership to the KCNA and Distribution Network to effectively manage finished goods quality issues that arise, including participating in Crisis Management meetings with senior leaders from Regulatory, Legal, Quality and Product Supply.
  • Provide work direction and leadership to logistics personnel across the network, including 3PL providers, in the area of quality management.
  • Provide Quality/Regulatory functional leadership within the Staff functions by providing guidance to team members and ensuring activities are prioritized and resourced accordingly.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement and implementation of quality concepts to improve the way business, facilities, and support functions perform duties and achieve objectives.
  • Actively participate as a team member in projects of moderate size and complexity, having responsibility for quality deliverables.
  • Act as Staff Distribution Support for QMS audits as needed.
  • Act as Quality Distribution representation in Recovery and Recall activities. Responsible for data inclusion into FDA and CPSC monthly reports (recall-related activity).
  • Perform robust problem solving, non-conformance reduction and continual improvement efforts. Drive value stream optimization through the application of proven methodologies such as Six Sigma, LEAN, Kaizen events etc.
  • Ensure Distribution Quality deliverables related to CAPA and QNC activities are managed in a complete and timely manner.
  • Represent Quality in DC Health Checks.
  • Participate in and support compliance forums such as Quality System Management Reviews, Change Review Board Meetings, QNC/CAPA Board meetings etc.

Scope

This position reports to the Senior Quality Manager, KCNA Family Care. The position is responsible to ensure efficient Finished Goods Inventory Management for Quality Issues, while adhering to required controls and best practices. The incumbent must possess a good level of understanding of the associated functional areas and provide informal leadership in a team setting. The position will lead logistics projects for inventory management/quality process efficiencies, modifications, or improvements.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Science or Engineering, and/or 5+ years of equivalent related experience.
  • Applies advanced Logistics knowledge and skills with demonstrated experience within a complex, matrixed, or multi-business organization.
  • Possesses an understanding of a mill operation and the relationship and integration of Logistics and Quality within that operation.
  • Working knowledge and experience with products requiring compliance with various regulatory or other technical requirements
  • Demonstration of capability to work independently and facilitate projects/focus groups in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with inventory and batch management.
  • A broad knowledge of SAP, WMS, BW, Customer Service, Distribution and Corporate Transportation.
  • Use of Data Analytics tools such as Power BI, Smartsheet or Tableau is a plus.
