Lead Project Engineer
Akron, OH (relocation available)
Summary:
A Fortune 500 Chemical & Coatings Company is looking to bring on a new Lead Project Engineer. This is a full time position that is on site in Akron, OH.
Responsibilities:
Apply industry-standard design, construction, and maintenance codes such as API for oil and gas, ASME for pressure vessels, NFPA for fire protection, and ASCE for structural engineering.
Ensure adherence to stringent state and local building codes, insurance requirements, and rigorous environmental regulations to guarantee project compliance.
Utilize advanced technology to develop project designs, drawing on extensive industrial and processing experience to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Support site mechanical integrity programs by executing coded repairs and replacements of critical vessels, enhancing operational reliability and safety.
Maintain strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures, policies, and codes to uphold a safe working environment and mitigate operational risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
Minimum 5 years of engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing experience in industrial manufacturing or chemical process environments.
Proven experience leading capital projects of varying sizes and complexities.
Demonstrated success in delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting project objectives.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SAP; familiarity with Sigma Logic is advantageous.
