Lead Machine Learning Researcher

Core Responsibilities:

• Architect and refine large language models meticulously tailored for our cutting-edge hardware
• Execute rigorous quality assessments to guarantee unparalleled performance metrics
• Engineer and deploy scalable distributed infrastructure for both training and inference
• Offer profound insights on hardware architecture from a comprehensive ML standpoint

Essential Qualifications:

• Exceptional prowess in software engineering
• Demonstrated expertise in training and fine-tuning advanced neural networks, with a particular focus on LLMs
• Preferably, experience in optimizing neural networks for hardware efficiency, encompassing FLOPs, memory bandwidth, communication bandwidth, precision, parallel layout, and batch processing capabilities.

Critical Requirements:

The ML Research Lead must meet at least one of the following criteria, emphasized for its importance:

• Lead experience in a large ML team, for instance, Google’s AdBrain
• Equal-first author on a highly cited (>100 citations) ML research paper
• Core contributor to a large-scale LLM pre-training model
