Lead Food Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop new products for expanded production capacity; i.e. new varieties of donuts, honey buns, 3-inch pie, dunking stick, etc.
• Resolve any issues with performance of current product in production.
• Start up production of any new product and create handling information for Production.
• Work with Sales to understand customer demand for new flavors and packaged products
• Maintain Kosher Certification.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters in Food Science, Food Chemistry, or similarly relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of working in a food technologist role
• Experience with sweet baked goods formulation
• Experience with Regulatory standards and requirements
• Ability to Calculate nutritional from 100 grams, and create ingredient lists for packaging
• Experience with taking new and established formulas and perform operational testing and establish SOP’s for Production
• Technical experience in donuts or honey buns on how to diagnose issues with product performance
• Manage and direct lab team member and provide guidance for formulation of existing and new products
