Lead, Floor - Poker

Summary Statement

The Poker Floor Supervisor is responsible for front line guest service in the poker room. This includes welcoming gaming guests to Resorts World, monitoring guests gaming play, assisting guests with various needs, and supporting efforts to promote game play. Key responsibility is to provide outstanding guest service and contribute to the guest experience.

Primary Job Duties: - Includes but is not limited to:

  • The capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as managing several poker tables and overseeing players actions.
  • Verify that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and property-wide controls are enforced within the department.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations.
  • Greet and welcome customers as they enter the poker room.
  • Promote exemplary guest service by demonstrating full knowledge of games in play, special events/activities, casino promotions and operational information.
  • Support close floor surveillance over assigned area in order to detect any irregularities on the part of players or established procedures.
  • Handle routine equipment maintenance and obtains the services of facilities if needed.
  • Meet guest needs by communicating with Beverage, Transportation, Marketing, VIP Services, etc.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:

  • Ability to successfully mentor a team.
  • The ability to react quickly and calmly to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during poker games.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education And Experience

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year Poker operations experience in a similar environment or related field.
  • Minimum one year gaming casino supervisory experience in similar or related field.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • Nevada Gaming Registration

  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.

  • Eye/hand coordination to handle chips, cards, and other equipment used in Poker games.
