Laser/Waterjet Machinist Position Summary:

The primary role of the Waterjet/Laser Operator is to learn all aspects of the operation of our Flow Waterjet and/or the Laser/Fiber CNC Machines, to include machine operation, programming, and machine maintenance.

Laser/Waterjet Machinist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and Operate of the Flow Waterjet Machine.
• Set up and Operate of the Laser/Fiber CNC Machines as needed.
• Programming of the Flow Waterjet Machine.
• Conduct routine maintenance of the Flow Waterjet Machine.
• Reading of mechanical drawing/dimensional awareness
• Checking Quality of parts using Micrometers/Calipers
• Operating of fork truck.
  
  

Laser/Waterjet Machinist Requirements and Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Must have 1 year of using Laser/Waterjet machine.
• Experience using Micrometers/Calipers
• Mechanical ability to perform machine rebuilds and normal upkeep tasks
• Understanding of mechanical drawing/dimensional awareness (part checking) a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to lift or move up to 40 lbs. on occasion
• Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members
• Good oral and written skills
• Responsible for upkeep of manufacturing areas and providing a clean and safe work environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  
  

Laser/Waterjet Machinist Hours:

Monday - Friday: 6:00a.m. - 2:30p.m. (OT as needed)
