Come join our exceptional Department of Neurobiology, and help lead the advancement of cutting-edge basic science research into explorations of the brain and central nervous system. With guidance, supervision and direction from the Principal Investigator, the Laboratory Technician will:
Design and make CRISPR/Cas9 DNA constructs
Electroporate chicken eggs with DNA expression constructs
Assist in the processing of tissue specimens taken from chicken embryos.
Assist in histology work which includes fixation, embedding, cryostat microtome sectioning and antibody staining.
Perform confocal microscopic analysis of stained tissue specimens, including use of an Airyscan
Enter data and perform administrative duties as assigned
