About This Position
As an entry level position under supervision of a program manager and/or field supervisor, works to ensure economic welfare for the State of Michigan, concerning Motor Fuels Quality. Position functions to collect Motor Fuel samples; helping the Motor Fuel Program ensure that Michigan’s motoring public is purchasing motor fuels that meet minimum state standards.
Position Description
The location of this position will be either in Genesee, Macomb, Oakland, Saginaw or Wayne County based on the selected candidate.

Required Education And Experience
Education
Possession of an associate's degree in engineering technology, the physical or biological sciences, or a related field.
Experience
Laboratory Technician 8
No specific type or amount is required.
Laboratory Technician 9
One year of experience equivalent to a Laboratory Technician 8.
Laboratory Technician E10
Two years of experience equivalent to a Laboratory Technician, including one year equivalent to a Laboratory Technician 9.
Alternate Education And Experience
Laboratory Technician E10
Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher with 16 semester (24 term) credits in job specific or related course work may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
