Position located in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager:
- Maintain operations of the laboratory, including management of day-to-day activities and coordinating meetings with internal and external partners.
- Participate and coordinate involvement in daily lab tasks, including scheduling equipment maintenance.
- Coordinates shipping and receiving materials with external vendors.
- Manage inventory supply for lab spaces and act as primary resource for purchasing laboratory resources.
- Assist in optimizing existing lab space to better improve workflows and space usage.
- Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee sample logging and processing.
Requirements of the Laboratory Manager:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a scientific discipline (preferably biological sciences).
- 3+ years of laboratory management or operations experience.
- Knowledgeable up-to-date on lab safety/training requirements.
- Ability to assist at the bench with tissue culture, PCR, and western blots.
