Lab Director!
This role is responsible for leading and managing our testing laboratory. You will ensure the lab produces reliable, timely, and accurate test results while fostering a strong company culture.
Responsibilities
Lead the laboratory team and oversee all lab activities.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to ensure consistent quality, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver projects effectively.
Provide operational, technical, and administrative support across all departments.
Coach and mentor staff to help them grow professionally.
Ensure all testing meets internal and external quality standards.
Maintain up-to-date practices and processes to optimize lab efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee equipment and technical resources.
Manage staff performance through evaluations, training, and one-on-one meetings.
Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, QA/QC programs, and other accreditations.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve lab management systems.
Work effectively with the VP of Operations to achieve business goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science (Master's preferred).
10+ years of technical laboratory experience and 7+ years of management experience.
Business acumen and experience managing a P&L of at least $10 million.
