Labor And Employment Attorney

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen with a leading Employment and Labor Law Firm seeking a talented and passionate Employment and Labor Attorney to join their firm based in either Manhattan or Garden City.

The firm is a well-established, innovative law firm looking to expand their Employment and Labor department by welcoming an ambitious attorney and adding to the firm's successes. In this role, you will represent a variety of employers and employees on an array of employment and labor matters from inception through to settlement, assisting with trial as necessary. The role will be highly rewarding, allowing you to work on high-value matters and collaborate with a team of dedicated legal professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of the litigation process from inception to resolution
• Draft and respond to discovery demands, pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Negotiate and draft settlements
• Assist with trial preparation and attend court as necessary

Qualifications:

• Admitted to practice in New York, and ideally New Jersey
• 2+ years of experience within Employment and Labor law
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
• Litigation experience in both State and Federal Courts
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
