We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to delve into a hands-on role, working with cutting-edge technology and contributing to innovative engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical duties, including the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, conducting tests, and analyzing data.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including ICP, GC, and GC-MS, ensuring optimal performance and safety at all times.
  • Perform various chemical analyses and interpret the results to provide accurate and timely data to the engineering team.
  • Prepare samples for testing, including the use of various lab techniques and procedures.
  • Document all procedures, observations, and results accurately and meticulously, maintaining strict adherence to quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve testing methods, procedures, and protocols.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues that arise during testing.
  • Ensure the lab is well-stocked and resourced, managing inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably within the engineering industry.
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including but not limited to ICP, GC, and GC-MS.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical analyses and lab procedures.
  • Excellent documentation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet deadlines.
