Job Description

Laboratory Assistant opportunity at Biotech Clinical Laboratory

  • EVENING SHIFT Start time: 5pm (8hr shift) Monday- Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Specimen receiving, sorting and specimen bag opening.
  • Ensure specimens are labeled properly and the correct specimen has been submitted for the requested laboratory test by comparing the specimen label to the accompanying requisition.
  • Use computer system to enter laboratory test orders and patient demographics
  • You will assign and identify bar coded numbers to a test request form to ensure all specimens received match the identification on the form and all requests are processed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail is a high priority.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Data entry experience preferred
