The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a specific department(s) within the restaurant including the selection, development and performance management of restaurant team members, optimizing profits and increasing sales.

Oversee the kitchen staff and hold the team accountable to meeting work performance standards

Participate in the cooking and preparation of menu items

Instruct kitchen staff to properly prepare, cook, garnish and present all menu items

Work with management to determine food costs and kitchen staff scheduling

Monitor sanitation and safety standards to ensure all regulations are being met

Collaborate with management to develop specials and new menu items

Maintain labor costs

Communicate effectively with management team

May perform additional duties as assigned
