Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Key Account Sales Representative to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, experience selling private label and branded products to large national retailers, experience managing brokers and a proven track record in sales. As a Key Account Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with potential customers in the food industry.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service.
Maximize distribution growth at customer level.
Manage and leverage capabilities of Brokers within their market.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to achieve revenue goals.
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events to represent the company and generate leads.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
5-7 years of proven experience in sales or sales management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Strong communicator, customer focused with a positive attitude.
Self-starter with a proven ability to work independently.
Ability to work as part of a dynamic sales team from a home office.
Ability to travel (25%).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint , Outlook and CRM software.
