Job Description: Key Account Manager

Job Summary:

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance and managing relationships with key retail accounts, including convenience stores and grocery chains. This role involves effective account management, negotiation, execution of sales programs, and promotional activities. The ideal candidate will monitor and analyze sales data, inventory levels, and market share to track performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts.
  • Relationship Management: Prospect, open, and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts, including convenience stores and grocery chains.
  • Sales Performance: Drive sales performance through effective account management, negotiation, and execution of sales programs and promotional activities.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales data, inventory levels, and market share to track performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Business Reviews: Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, identify areas of improvement, and develop action plans to address challenges.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience with Key Accounts: Candidates must have experience managing key accounts. Top chains to target for each role include:
  • Convenience Stores: 7-Eleven, Circle K, Speedway, Wawa, Casey's General Stores.
  • Grocery Chains: Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, Publix, Safeway.
  • Industry Experience: 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the non-alcoholic beverage, energy drinks, or beer industries, coming from either the brand or wholesaler side.
  • Hubspot Experience: Ideally, candidates will have experience working with Hubspot.
  • Supplements Experience: Experience in the supplements industry would be a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in managing key accounts and driving sales performance.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to monitor and interpret sales data.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools, especially Hubspot.
  • Ability to conduct thorough business reviews and develop actionable plans for improvement.
