The Junior Systems Administrator assists the overall department goals of the Engineering Department to include administrative, technical, and logistical tasks. This position works under the general supervision of the Senior Project Engineer and assists in completion of tasks involved in system design, system support, technical solutions, estimates, document flow, project meetings, submittals, quality control, and submittals/opportunity tracking.
The Role
Assist in the design and implementation of low voltage security systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards
Provide technical support and solutions for ongoing projects, troubleshooting issues as they arise under the guidance of the Senior Project Engineer
Collaborate with the Senior Project Engineer to prepare detailed project estimates and proposals
Develop project documents, ensuring accurate and timely submission of submittals and other documentation
Participate in project meetings, documenting key discussions and action items
Monitor and maintain quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards
Track submittals and opportunities, maintaining up-to-date records and follow-up actions
Support the development and integration of new systems and technologies within the company’s projects
Coordinate logistical aspects of project execution, including procurement and scheduling
Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices
Support the configuration and solution development of IT systems used in security projects
Maintain and update system documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and user guides
Assist in the development and implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect security systems from potential threats
Attends and supports local and remote site surveys
Develops and modifies new and existing standards, processes, and manuals
Effectively represents Evergreen Fire and Security in a professional and inviting manner to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction
Ensures compliance with safety policies
Reads and comprehends blueprints, project instructions, and company forms
The Necessities
Good communication skills to interface with customers
Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude
Valid enhanced driver’s license
Ability to pass a pre-employment and continuing random background, drug and MVR screenings
Ability to receive a US government clearance

BA/BS in Engineering or similar experience
Prior experience working on military installations

Pay range is $65,000 - $75,000 for well-qualified candidates.
