Position Overview:

They are seeking highly analytical and motivated junior traders to join their esteemed team in San Francisco. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with seasoned traders, quantitative researchers, and developers, gaining invaluable experience and insights into high-frequency trading. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of trading strategies, optimizing performance and driving success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation, testing, and deployment of quantitative trading strategies.
  • Analyze extensive datasets to uncover trading opportunities and refine existing strategies.
  • Oversee real-time trading systems to ensure peak performance and effective risk management.
  • Work alongside developers to enhance trading infrastructure and tools.
  • Conduct research on market microstructure, trading signals, and algorithmic trading techniques.
  • Participate in post-trade analyses to assess strategy performance and identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or any hard science with a strong mathematical component. Advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Strong foundation in statistical and mathematical modeling techniques.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Confident, personable, driven, hardworking, with great communication skills.
  • Strong desire to build a career in trading and a basic understanding of trading concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to precision.
  • Previous experience in trading, finance, or related sectors is beneficial but not essential.
