Junior QA Manual/Automation Tester (ONSITE)

**ONSITE FULL TIME POSITION - 5 DAYS IN OFFICE - TOWSON, MD (Must be local - no travel/relocation. There is a possibility of a hybrid model once onboarding is complete) *There will be no visa-based hiring for these roles.*

Job description:

Sogeti is looking to hire a Junior QA consultant with 2-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will perform manual testing, collaborate with development teams, and have a willingness to learn automation testing.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing of software applications, identifying defects and ensuring quality.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and design test cases.
• Execute test plans, test scripts, and test scenarios.
• Perform regression testing and document results.
• Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation.
• Learn and contribute to automation testing efforts.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in software testing.
• Familiarity with manual testing methodologies and tools.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to automation testing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
