Position: Junior Producer – Studios Team

FLSA: Exempt ( not eligible for overtime)

Salary Range: $60,000-$ 65 ,000 annually*

Location : This full -time position will initially work onsite f rom the Augustine Institute Studio in Greenwood Village, CO . T he selected candidate must agree to relocate to the Florissant, MO campus within the next 12 -24 months ( expected between 2025-2026 ) .

Position Summary

The Augustine Institute Studios is seeking a Junior Producer, responsible for the production process, completing shows for our “Small” projects, “Minor and Ongoing” productions. The Junior producer will work closely with Senior Producers, Directors, and other team members to ensure the timely and successful execution of projects from inception to completion. This role requires a dynamic individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about the production process. As a producer, responsibilities will include logistics , tactical, timing, budget, and the problem-solving side of production.

The Junior Producer will be responsible for the current list of minor productions, with an understanding that the list of programming routinely changes per the organization’s content strategy . But as a Junior Producer the size of the projects you will be responsible for will be in the minor/small/and ongoing production level.

The Junior Producer will contribute to managing incoming production requests that fall into the minor production tier, and funnel those through the overall content strategy and intake strategy of the Content team. Assisting in Studio’s in-take and approval meetings as well as the production update meetings.

Per the needs of the assigned and greenlit productions, the producer will be responsible for hiring and managing contractors, setting a proposal for work, obtaining approvals, submitting invoices, and ensuring payment, while managing due dates . These producer tasks will be done coinciding and collaborating in lockstep, with the creative team which delivers creative notes and instructions for the contractors.

  • Specific duties are listed below but may not be all-inclusive.
  • Pre-production: Write and present “Show Brief” documents and communication for each creative endeavor you are responsible for .
  • From the inception of a project. Producers handle budgeting, scheduling, and overall project planning .
  • This includes resourcing production needs (personnel and otherwise), hiring key contracted personnel, scouting locations, and obtaining necessary permits.
  • Logistics : Coordinate all aspects of production, from requesting necessary crew and talent, to renting equipment and arranging transportation.
  • Guard the strategic and tactical vision and roadmap for each production you are responsible for .
  • Maintain a clear roadmap and progress report throughout all phases of production, including development, preproduction, production, post- production and delivery.
  • Financial Management: Producers adhere to budgets, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints and making decisions about resource allocation.
  • Legal and Administrative Tasks: Producers handle contracts, insurance, and other legal paperwork associated with the project.
  • Supervision: While the directors/filmmakers/creatives focus on the creative aspects of production, the producer ensures that deadlines are met, and the project stays within budget.
  • Coordination: Working as the production team’s primary source of necessary information (scheduling and budgeting) documents, and communication.
  • Communicate budget and scheduling concerns to the Senior Producer on a timely basis and suggest creative alternatives to reduce cost, conflicts, and location needs.
  • Meet with producers and coordinating producers to ensure an important level of intradepartmental communication between all departments and management.
  • Prioritizing information from those meetings and efficiently handling the messaging on the Studio’s behalf .
  • Maintain and monitor confidential information
  • Ensure effective and timely communication with external contacts, clients, talent, and partners
  • Coordinate production mandates, scheduling, timelines, timeframe , talent schedules, travel and movement as directed by the producer
  • Secure and schedule off-site filming locations and/or inhouse filming locations
  • Attend status meetings when asked as Studios eyes and ears
  • Produce typed notes from weekly meetings; following-up on and/or facilitating departmental requests resulting from these meetings
  • Anticipate and work to avoid foreseeable problems, troubleshooting as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, typing and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

  • The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
