Our Long Island City atelier has become the heart and home of all design for the MELITTA BAUMEISTER brand. The Junior Patternmaker/Designer spends their time fitting closely with the design team to ensure looks realize each new season's vision.
Responsibilities
- Pattern alterations after fittings, toile mockups, and lead garment lifecycle
- Understand brand identity and its place in the market, translating this in to design processes
- Organization and ability to work alongside interns, seamstress, and quick-paced atelier environment
- Oversee patterns and looks from ideation to preparation for production handoff
- Facilitate new, seasonal research along side design team to culminate in collection releases, biannually
