As a Junior Lighting Designer, you will play a vital role in our design process, supporting senior designers in conceptualizing, planning, and executing lighting schemes for diverse projects. Responsibilities

• Work with Steelman Partners architects, graphic artists, and interior design team to collaborate on how light will factor into the overall design of the space to make it more inviting.
• Collaborate with senior designers and architects to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Assist in developing lighting concepts, mood boards, and initial design proposals.
• Prepare detailed lighting plans, specifications, and documentation for construction and installation.
• Research lighting fixtures, technologies, and materials to support design development.
• Attend client meetings and presentations to contribute insights and support design discussions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices in lighting design.
  
  

Requirements

• Knowledge of lighting products and fixtures
• Understanding of electronics and experience with lighting for design spaces
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficient with Revit
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
