Overview: We are seeking a motivated Junior Investment Banking Analyst to join our Life Sciences Tools and Services team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of investment banking, specifically focusing on companies involved in life sciences tools and services. The role is remote with occasional in-person meetings as needed, providing flexibility and a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct financial analysis, including financial modeling and valuation, to support investment decisions and strategic advisory for clients in the life sciences sector.
Assist in the preparation of pitch books, offering memorandums, and other client presentations.
Perform industry and company-specific research to identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential investment opportunities.
Collaborate with senior team members in executing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity offerings, and debt financings.
Monitor and analyze financial markets, regulatory developments, and industry news relevant to the life sciences tools and services sector.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modeling techniques, and valuation methodologies.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software; knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal is a plus.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
