Junior Government Contracts Associate Attorney

Salary Range: $235,000 - $310,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience

About Our Client: Our client, a nationally ranked law firm, is seeking a Junior Associate to join their esteemed Government Contracts group. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a top-tier team that handles a wide array of government contract matters.

Job Summary: The Junior Associate will support our Government Contracts group by providing legal expertise in various government contracts-related areas. The successful candidate will have 2–3 years of relevant experience and will be involved in handling bid protests, claims, disputes, and related litigation. Additionally, the role includes providing federal procurement counseling in areas such as GSA Schedule, National Security, ITAR, and Cybersecurity issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle bid protests before GAO, COFC, and other forums.
  • Manage claims and disputes under the Contract Disputes Act.
  • Participate in related litigation processes.
  • Provide counseling on federal procurement regulations, including GSA Schedule, National Security issues, ITAR compliance, and Cybersecurity mandates.
  • Research and draft legal memoranda, briefs, and motions.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for clients.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and transactions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting government contracts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, government officials, and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • 2-3 years of government contracts experience, which may include:
  • Handling bid protests, claims, disputes, and related litigation.
  • Federal procurement counseling in areas such as GSA Schedule, National Security, ITAR, or Cybersecurity issues.
  • Experience in a law firm or government position is acceptable.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary range: $235,000 - $310,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
